Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. The Group may jointly use (provide) the information described in Section 2 within the Group companies to achieve the purposes set forth in Section 2. In such cases, the Company shall be responsible for the management of the shared information and shall manage it appropriately.
In addition, the Group may provide the information described in Section 2 to the following third parties to achieve the purposes set forth in Section 2.

- Professional advisers, including accounting auditors and attorneys, engaged in the Group’s accounting audits, legal services, and related professional services
- Third parties with whom sharing information is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Group’s customers or other persons, including for fraud prevention and mitigation of credit risks
- Government authorities primarily responsible for matters such as product safety and taxation, courts, and other dispute resolution bodies
- Recipients designated by the data subject at and in accordance with the instructions of the data subject
- Transferees of the Group’s business, rights, or obligations
As the Group conducts business worldwide, it may transfer the information it collects to countries other than the country in which the collecting Group company is located. As a result, personal information may be transferred to countries whose personal information protection laws may not provide an adequate level of protection. When making such transfers, the Group shall comply with the procedures for cross-border transfers required under the applicable personal information protection laws.
Such procedures include, in particular, with respect to transfers from within the EEA to countries outside the EEA, transfers based on an adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission, the execution of Standard Contractual Clauses with the recipient, and, in exceptional circumstances, obtaining the consent of the data subject to the transfer.
The Group implements reasonable organizational, personnel, physical, and technical security measures to protect personal information and prevent incidents such as the leakage of personal information.
The Group's websites may use web tracking technologies such as cookies and web beacons. Where information collected through such technologies constitutes personal information under the applicable personal information protection laws, the Group will process such information as personal information.
In addition, where the personal information protection laws applicable to a Group company require the consent of the data subject or other measures for the use of web tracking technologies, the Group will take an appropriate response. The Group's websites may use social plugins provided by social networking services (SNS). Such plugins may transmit information concerning individuals visiting the Group's websites to the providers of those plugins. For details regarding the processing of such information, please refer to the relevant website.
The Group may conduct direct marketing activities directed to individuals, including the distribution of emails and SMS messages and the delivery of behavioral targeting advertisements. When conducting such activities, the Group will comply with all applicable laws.
The Group respects the rights of individuals with respect to their personal information as provided under the laws and regulations applicable to them. Such rights may include, among others, the following. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, the Group may first request identity verification, such as the submission of a copy of a valid identification document, in order to confirm that the request has been actually made by the data subject or the authorized representative of the data subject. Once such verification has been completed, the Group will respond to the request in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

The Group retains the personal information described in Section 2 for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed, or for such period as required to satisfy applicable legal requirements. Upon expiration of the applicable retention period, the Group will take measures to process such personal information in a way that makes it impossible to identify an individual or to delete such personal information. The criteria used in determining the applicable retention period include, but are not limited to, the following: (i) the duration of the ongoing relationship with the individual; (ii) whether the Group is subject to any applicable legal obligations; and (iii) whether retention is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the individual is a party.
The Group may amend or update this Privacy Policy in order to maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations or to reflect changes to the Group's internal operations. If any amendments are made, the revised date will be posted.
