Riders Outfitted with DUNLOP Tires Crowned Series Champion in Every Class at the 2021 AMA Supercross

Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. is pleased to announce that riders outfitted with our high-performance DUNLOP Brand tires won the title of Series Champion in every class (“450SX,” “250SX East,” “250SX West”) at the 2021 AMA Supercross Championship, locking in their victories at the final race of the tournament, which was held this past May 1 at Salt Lake City (USA). This is the twelfth consecutive year in which riders using DUNLOP tires won in every class at the AMA Supercross.
In the 450SX Class, Cooper Webb of “Red Bull KTM Factory Racing” was crowned the Series Champion after winning eight of the 17 races in the tournament, including the final race at Salt Lake City. In the 250SX East Class, Colt Nichols of “Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing 250 Team” maintained sure and steady performance throughout the tournament, achieving nine podium finishes in total, which was enough to win him the title of Series Champion. Meanwhile, in the 250SX West Class, Justin Cooper, also of “Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing 250 Team” placed ninth in the final race of the tournament, but nevertheless went on to win the title of Series Champion for the first time thanks to his commanding lead in overall points going into the final race.
