DUNLOP to Have a Display Booth at TOKYO AUTO SALON 2019

Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. is pleased to announce that we will have a DUNLOP Booth at the upcoming TOKYO AUTO SALON 2019, which will be held from Friday, January 11th through Sunday, January 13th at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba Prefecture.

Designed around the theme of "Spirit of Evolution," this year's DUNLOP Booth highlights DUNLOP's advanced technology over the years, tracing the evolution of DUNLOP from past to present and into the future. In particular, the DUNLOP Booth will feature a special Lab space to introduce our latest technical development concept: SMART TYRE CONCEPT, which was conceived with the aim of developing new technologies to create DUNLOP tires that will respond to the needs of the Mobility Society of the future and its myriad innovations, such as automated vehicles, car sharing and more. In the Lab, visitors can experience this cutting-edge development concept first-hand through a multimedia show that utilizes audio, video and lighting to full effect.
In addition, the booth will also feature stage events such as a talk show with Satoru Nakajima of Team NAKAJIMA RACING, who competed in yet another intense SUPER GT500 in 2018, as well as other pro drivers who participated in the Japanese Rally Championship, the FIA Formula 4 and other exciting motor sports tournaments.
